1. This Warranty applies when

This warranty is available exclusively in Western Australia and applies when:
You purchase an approved garage door and motor package from Perth Roller Doors.
The products are supplied and installed on or after 1 April 2025 by Perth Roller Doors or its authorised representatives.
The warranty is registered with Perth Roller Doors within 30 days of installation

2. Scope of Warranty Coverage

Perth Roller Doors warrants that eligible doors and motors will remain free from defects in materials and workmanship for:
Garage Doors: 15 years
Garage Door Openers (Motors): 15 years
This warranty includes the repair or replacement (at Perth Roller Doors’ sole discretion and by methods it considers reasonable) of any garage door or motor that fails to function in accordance with its operation and installation manuals during the warranty period, provided all terms and conditions are met.

3. Conditions for Maintaining Warranty Coverage

Accepted Answer

To maintain the validity of this warranty, the following conditions must be satisfied:
The door and motor must be installed by Perth Roller Doors or its approved technicians.
The system must be serviced within 12 months of installation and every 24 months thereafter by a Perth Roller Doors authorised technician.
The door and opener must be operated, maintained, and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation and operating instructions.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
The warranty does not renew or extend when components are repaired or replaced.
Failure to comply with the required service schedule or improper maintenance will void the warrant

4. Limited Warranty for Certain Components

5. Exclusions – What This Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty excludes the following:
For Doors:
Wear and tear or re-tensioning of springs.
Natural variations in timber-look finishes.
For Openers:
Damage from electrical faults (e.g. surges, faulty wiring).
Use beyond designed duty cycle (i.e. continuous operation beyond 1 minute in 10-minute period).
Exceeding opener weight ratings or manual force over 20kg.
Operation with an unsafe or unbalanced door.
Interference (e.g. radio/electrical signals) or loss of signal.
For Both Door & Opener Systems:
High-frequency commercial or abusive residential use.
Accidental, deliberate, or negligent damage.
Unauthorised modification or service by non-approved personnel.
Improper installation or operation not following supplied instructions.
Environmental damage (e.g. corrosion from coastal air, storm, flood, fire, or pests).
Impact from insects, dirt, vegetation, or external objects.
Travel or transportation costs associated with on-site inspections.

6. Statutory Rights under Australian Consumer Law

Accepted Answer

This warranty operates in addition to and does not exclude or limit any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable Western Australian legislation.

If you are a consumer under the ACL, our goods come with statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to meet acceptable quality standards and the failure is not a major one.

Subject to these non-excludable rights, Perth Roller Doors disclaims liability for:
Consequential or incidental damages, including loss of income or business interruption.
Damage to other property or equipment caused by a defective product.
Delays in service or repair resulting in further loss.

8. Jurisdiction and Enforceability

Accepted Answer

This warranty shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes arising under this warranty will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
